'Mormon Lightning' Suspected in Warm Springs Lodge Fire
A devastating fire ripped through the Warm Springs lodge in the early morning hours and sources are reporting that the entire structure will be lost. Investigators are on the scene and believe an electrical malfunction could be to blame but are not ruling out the possibility of a Sun Valley Company insider starting an insurance fire (or what’s commonly referred to throughout the Intermountain West as ‘Mormon lightning’).
Although there has been no news of injuries, a member of the Ketchum fire department reportedly had to be restrained from entering the inferno determined to save the 'warm cookie' bell.
Neighboring structures to the Warm Springs lodge, much to the dismay of their owners, were all spared.
